Tangle Teezer

Hello everyone, hope you're all doing well.

Today I want to talk about Tangle Teezer's.

This is by far the best hair brush I have EVER used. It is amaaaazing, like I can't say a bad word about it.

I've had mine for approximately 2 years I think, and it's still going strong, I can't see any places on it were it has worn.

Here's what they look like, if you've never seen them before. They are so cute and come in so many colours and patterns (picture courtesy of Google Images):

They are designed by a gentleman called Shaun Pulfrey AKA Shaun P (who's name is on the non-bristles side of the brush). Shaun was a contestant on UK TV's Dragon's Den, to which Shaun showed his invention, to see if one of the panelists would fund his idea, for a percentage of the profits. Unfortunately Shaun was not successful on Dragon's Den.
However, he sure showed them, when he decided to self-finance the idea and now the Tangle Teezer has sold millions!

Here is a link about Shaun and his story if you are interested:

I personally have a glittery all purple one, which goes everywhere with me! I would really recommend it to anyone. My Mum has one too as she tried mine! Also, my hair salon uses them and also retails them; as that's just how incredible they are!

To add to that,  I recently went out for a works do, and me and a few girlies from work stayed in the same hotel room. Whilst we were all getting all dolled up, they saw me use my Tangle Teezer and asked about it, 'cause let's face it, it doesn't look like your normal hairbrush. I convinced them to try it, and they were really impressed with how it glided through their hair with ease. They were so impressed that they both ended up getting one shortly after!

What makes this brush amazing is the material of the bristles and how there is two different sizes of bristle too, so they easily glide through your hair so easily and remove any knots you have so gently.

It can also be used on wet or dry hair, long or short etc. It's also really great for distributing conditioner/leave in treatments evenly through your hair.

As I say, I have the original size, like in the picture above, but now they make compact ones, like this (picture courtesy of Google Images):

Now, what makes this compact one even more amazing, is that is smaller, so it's more handbag and travel friendly. But, it also has a cover, which protects the bristles when travelling, but also prevents the bristles damaging anything else you make be carrying alongside it.

And if that wasn't all, they make an Aqua Splash one (picture courtesy of www.boots.com):

The Aqua Splash has been specifically designed to untangle hair in the shower!

Finally (jeez I can ramble) , let's get to the price of one of these beauty's. They are really quite inexpensive and can vary between £10-£15, depending on where you purchase them from. I purchased mine for £10 from Boots. Currently they are on www.boots.com for £10.99 each. However, Boots frequently have a 3 for 2 offer on, so you could get three of these puppies and give two as gifts or keep them  all for yourself and keep one on your dresser, one in your bag and one at work.

Here's to happy, healthy tangle free hair!

Take care, and I'll see you at the next blog post,

Where have I been?

Hello everyone!

Wow I can't believe it's been almost a year since I last blogged about something!

Happy New Year everyone! Hope 2015 is going well for everyone!

Quite a bit has happened in the past year; work has been crazy, I passed my driving test, my lovely Sharpei Rocky passed away, I've been on numerous holidays - and that's just to name a few.

But all the while, so may ideas and thoughts enter my  head like 'I should blog about this' or 'I wonder if people would find this as interesting as I do?'. But it was literally just a case of finding the motivation and most importantly the time to do it.

So, I've thought about it and I do really want to get into it again, as it was something I enjoyed!

So expect more blogs from me very soon. I have also installed the Blogger Android App, so I can blog on the go (which I'm pretty excited about!)

So, watch this space!!

P.S. If you have any ideas, product reviews, opinions on topics that you want me to blog about; then please leave me comments and I'll look into them.

Thanks very much for reading, and I hope you're all having a great day.

Olay Facial Cleansing Cloths

Something short and sweet about how great these are!

I have to admit, I am very lazy when it comes to taking off my makeup at night, especially after a night out. But these take it off in seconds, even stubborn mascara and eye liner as I can get these right on my waterline to remove any makeup there and they don't irritate my eyes at all. Also if I have been really naughty and slept with my make up on, they take it off in a flash the morning after.

They also leave my skin SOOOOO soft, I have the combination/oily type and I feel they nourish my dry areas and control my oily areas. They also make them in a sensitive type, which I feel is great for those with super sensitive skin.

They are also great for men's skin too and they have a fresh unisex scent.

Another great thing is that they are so simple to use, you just take a cloth, run it under some warm water, and they really foam up to a really luxurious lather.

I have re-purchased these a good few times now since discovering them and so has my mum, 'cause she loves them too. They are also really reasonably priced, I get mine for about £3 from my local supermarket, but a lot of the time they are on offer for 3 for £5, so I stock up!

I would definitely recommend you give these a try!

Bodyshop Goodies!

I am currently in love with a lot of things from The Body Shop. I received a lot of their products for Christmas and I am really loving everything I have tried so far.

My opinions of some of the products are:

Body Butters

These are amazing!!! They make your skin feel so lovely and make you smell delicious.

They are really hydrating too, as I have really dry legs practically all year round that become drier in the colder months and get even drier when I shave, so this was a life saver for me.
I really found it difficult to find a moisturiser that sunk in quickly, left my skin feeling hydrated straight away and made my skin feel nice for days. This does just that! My favourite scents are the fruity ones!

Born Lippy/Lip Butters

Just to let you know, that I am a massive hoarder of lip balm, gloss, stain, basically any product that can be put on your lips. I have so many and love to try every product in every flavour and colour out there. But they say the first step is to admit that you have a problem  don't they haha.

Firstly, the Born Lippy lip balms. These taste great, they really taste as described whether it be Satsuma, Strawberry, Passionfruit etc. They are slightly tinted, very glossy, but not sticky which is awesome in my eyes! I have one everywhere, one in my bag, one at my desk at work, one near my bed, I love them! They do moisturise, however, I wouldn't recommend using them on super dry and cracked lips as I don't feel they have as many healing properties as say a Carmex lipbalm (which is also one of my faves) as the Born Lippy's are not medicated and not designed for treating dry and cracked lips.
Secondly, the Lip Butters. I'm really not much of a fan of these. They are a lot more nourishing than the Born Lippy's, but again, they would not be much use on dry and cracked lips and they are not designed for this purpose. I don't like the taste of these as much as the Born Lippy's, it seems there isn't as much flavour in these (if that makes sense). They also leave quite an opaque tint on lips, and when the majority of the butters are pastelly colours like white, lilac and peach etc, the white lip look isn't very attractive haha. I feel the best use for these is at bed time, as I always like to slap on a lot of lip balm before bed and wake up to super soft lips.  They retail at about £2 each I believe, however there is generally a lot of promotions like 3 for 2 etc.

I received two of the Born Lippy sets for Christmas.

Hand Cream

Again, I love these as much as I love the Body Butters. They are really nourishing and smell beautiful. As dry as my legs are, my hands can get even worse. I am a bit of a germaphobe and wash my hands A LOT and use hand sanitiser when I can, but doing this really dries out my hands. So using these hand creams have really helped. They are really think and luxurious and sink in fast.  I have tried all three in the  below set and the Cranberry one is my favourite.

Hand Cleanse

As mentioned above, I use hand sanitiser a lot, and I was fed up of the chemical/alcohol smelling ones. So I thought I'd give these a try, and I am so glad I did. Again, they smell really good. They smell of the fruit/nut itself, there's no nasty smell and they do the job and are not super drying!

I hope you've enjoyed today's blog!

Until the next one!

Take Care and have a great day!!
