Olay Facial Cleansing Cloths

Something short and sweet about how great these are!

I have to admit, I am very lazy when it comes to taking off my makeup at night, especially after a night out. But these take it off in seconds, even stubborn mascara and eye liner as I can get these right on my waterline to remove any makeup there and they don't irritate my eyes at all. Also if I have been really naughty and slept with my make up on, they take it off in a flash the morning after.

They also leave my skin SOOOOO soft, I have the combination/oily type and I feel they nourish my dry areas and control my oily areas. They also make them in a sensitive type, which I feel is great for those with super sensitive skin.

They are also great for men's skin too and they have a fresh unisex scent.

Another great thing is that they are so simple to use, you just take a cloth, run it under some warm water, and they really foam up to a really luxurious lather.

I have re-purchased these a good few times now since discovering them and so has my mum, 'cause she loves them too. They are also really reasonably priced, I get mine for about £3 from my local supermarket, but a lot of the time they are on offer for 3 for £5, so I stock up!

I would definitely recommend you give these a try!

Bodyshop Goodies!

I am currently in love with a lot of things from The Body Shop. I received a lot of their products for Christmas and I am really loving everything I have tried so far.

My opinions of some of the products are:

Body Butters

These are amazing!!! They make your skin feel so lovely and make you smell delicious.

They are really hydrating too, as I have really dry legs practically all year round that become drier in the colder months and get even drier when I shave, so this was a life saver for me.
I really found it difficult to find a moisturiser that sunk in quickly, left my skin feeling hydrated straight away and made my skin feel nice for days. This does just that! My favourite scents are the fruity ones!

Born Lippy/Lip Butters

Just to let you know, that I am a massive hoarder of lip balm, gloss, stain, basically any product that can be put on your lips. I have so many and love to try every product in every flavour and colour out there. But they say the first step is to admit that you have a problem  don't they haha.

Firstly, the Born Lippy lip balms. These taste great, they really taste as described whether it be Satsuma, Strawberry, Passionfruit etc. They are slightly tinted, very glossy, but not sticky which is awesome in my eyes! I have one everywhere, one in my bag, one at my desk at work, one near my bed, I love them! They do moisturise, however, I wouldn't recommend using them on super dry and cracked lips as I don't feel they have as many healing properties as say a Carmex lipbalm (which is also one of my faves) as the Born Lippy's are not medicated and not designed for treating dry and cracked lips.
Secondly, the Lip Butters. I'm really not much of a fan of these. They are a lot more nourishing than the Born Lippy's, but again, they would not be much use on dry and cracked lips and they are not designed for this purpose. I don't like the taste of these as much as the Born Lippy's, it seems there isn't as much flavour in these (if that makes sense). They also leave quite an opaque tint on lips, and when the majority of the butters are pastelly colours like white, lilac and peach etc, the white lip look isn't very attractive haha. I feel the best use for these is at bed time, as I always like to slap on a lot of lip balm before bed and wake up to super soft lips.  They retail at about £2 each I believe, however there is generally a lot of promotions like 3 for 2 etc.

I received two of the Born Lippy sets for Christmas.

Hand Cream

Again, I love these as much as I love the Body Butters. They are really nourishing and smell beautiful. As dry as my legs are, my hands can get even worse. I am a bit of a germaphobe and wash my hands A LOT and use hand sanitiser when I can, but doing this really dries out my hands. So using these hand creams have really helped. They are really think and luxurious and sink in fast.  I have tried all three in the  below set and the Cranberry one is my favourite.

Hand Cleanse

As mentioned above, I use hand sanitiser a lot, and I was fed up of the chemical/alcohol smelling ones. So I thought I'd give these a try, and I am so glad I did. Again, they smell really good. They smell of the fruit/nut itself, there's no nasty smell and they do the job and are not super drying!

I hope you've enjoyed today's blog!

Until the next one!

Take Care and have a great day!!

Directions Hair Dye

Hello there,

In today's blog I'd like to review something I am currently loving.

It is the La Riche Directions Semi Permanent Hair Dye.

As I currently have bright red hair, I am finding this stuff is amaaaaaaazing!!! I am currently using the colour 'Poppy Red', though I have used 'Flamingo Pink' when I used to have pink flashes.

What I find great about it is:

  • It's really inexpensive, I purchase mine from my local shopping centre, for about £5 per tub
  • It's not damaging! There is no peroxides or nastiness, it is basically plant extracts, it is in fact conditioning (even says so on the tub) Which is a super plus for me, as I had a bleaching incident a year ago and my hair went really really dry, but alas it is fixed now and we shall never return to that awful place again haha.
  • It works super fast, I leave mine on for about 20 mins, wash it out and away I go. Though you can leave on for as long as you like 'cause it's not damaging.
  • What's awesome too is you don't need to mix it with ANYTHING, it's basically straight out of the tub to your head!
  • There's no nasty chemical smell, it smells sort of like paint haha.
  • I get about 1-2 full head treatments out of it, depending on how long and thick my hair is.
  • It extends colour time before needing to go to the salon! I have super thick mid length hair that grows really quick, so I try and not break the bank at the salon as much as I can and with this beauty it does just that! I apply it on my mousey brown roots and overall for a bright boost.
  • If you mix a small amount of conditioner in with the colour and apply after you've washed your hair, you'll have lovely conditioned hair, but will also have the pigment in there to fight the fade. You can also dilute the colours with conditioner, which is going to give you a not so bright colour, perhaps if you wanted a more pastel shade. I'm loving Kelly Osbourne's Lilac colour at the minute. Plus mixing with conditioner will act as a nourishing treat for your hair too.

So overall I think it's fab and will continue to use it throughout my journey of colours. Let me know how you get on if you try it!
